A Florida resident and Disney superfan has been going to the Disney World parks everyday despite Hurricane Milton.

is wrecking havoc in Florida where many evacuations have been carried out, motorways have been spotted packed as people left their homes and possessions behind to find safety, and many nearly three million home and businesses have been left with no power or destroyed.

The ferocious comes straight after communities in Florida continue to reel from Hurricane Helene which blasted the state just two weeks ago. Earlier this week, announced it would close several of its attractions and transport connections in preparation of the impact. Throughout the week Disney shut areas of Walt Disney World for several hours, but on October 10 all parks and attractions were off limits.

So before Hurricane Milton hit, many park fans made sure they got their Disney fix. On Monday, Disney Food Blog reported that Magic Kingdom was "busy" as "folks making the best of the days before Hurricane Milton". One Florida resident has received backlash for documenting her time at the parks.

Mum Brianna has been took her daughter to Magic Kingdom on Tuesday. She took to her TikTok page and said: "We aren't evacuating. We live close to Disney, we know we will be fine.

"Haters going to hate. We're over here out in Milton. Nothing else to do - we're stuck inside the house. The workers are going to be here anyway. We are not worried about the hurricane, we are not in an evacuation area." Then on October 9 she showed what Disney Springs looked like at 11am.

She found a number of restaurants closed but a line for popular Gideon's Bakehouse. She also spotted park bins covered in cling films and sand bags placed in front of buildings. The mum returned Disney Springs for a spot of shopping.

While she was showing fans what the parks like, a number of people were left less than impressed. "You're putting the staff at risk," said one. "You're putting your child at risk," said another.

One other commented: "Your perspective and lack of empathy is the issue. As a local you should get that." "It's a natural disaster and you braved it with a child for no reason," said another annoyed individual.

"How incredibly selfish of you," said another. But one other individual pointed out: "It's really on Disney for not closing."

"Stay safe," added another.

Is Disney World now open?

Earlier this week, the company announced its Disney Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will temporarily close until Sunday. Disney World transportation will also ceased operating on Wednesday after the theme park and Disney Springs close.

Throughout the week parks have been closing for several hours as staff deal with the aftermath of the extreme weather. It was confirmed that on Thursday all Disney World Parks would remain closed, before reopening today.

This morning Disney announced that the theme parks and Disney Springs, as well as possibly "other areas", will reopen to guests. Guests should be aware that some areas and attractions could still see closures due to damage or safety concerns.
